Steph Curry made a young fan’s day after surprising her before a Golden State Warriors’ game – after the girl had been left in tears when the NBA star was dropped in a previous game.
PJ O’Byrne, 10, went viral after a clip showed her crying having travelled to see the two-time NBA MVP against the Denver Nuggets, only to find out he would be rested.
The Golden State Warriors saw the clip and helped her out by awarding her tickets to their a later game – coincidentally also against the Nuggets – where she was greeted pre-match by Curry himself.
The youngster had originally got tickets to see Curry’s side play against the Nuggets in December, but a Covid outbreak forced the game to be postponed.
The game was rearranged for last Monday in Denver, but Curry didn’t travel with the squad, much to the disappointment of PJ O’Byrne – who had made a custom sign to get the point guard’s attention.
After a clip of her crying went viral, the NBA side treated her and her family to tickets to the next game, where she would finally get to see Curry in action.
