The power of LeBron James and Anthony Davis at the Los Angeles Lakers

In sports, the CEO, board of directors and coach are the ones who hold the right to decide on player transfers for each team. The NBA is no exception.

However, there are still individual players who have a huge say in changing personnel on a team. They are outstanding superstars, with great influence and their performance determines the success or failure of an entire season. That is also the case with LeBron James and Anthony Davis on the Los Angeles Lakers.

As revealed by Jovan Buha, a reputable writer for The Athletic, CEO Rob Pelinka always has to consult with the two stars mentioned above about the team’s transfer situation. This includes any trade offers that must be approved by LeBron James and Anthony Davis.

Pelinka said he checked in with both LeBron James and Anthony Davis on all of the moves ahead of the deadline.

For many people, they may see this as an abuse of power by the players. However, with someone as great as LeBron James, he clearly has that right.

In fact, the transfer moves of the Los Angeles Lakers are helping this team find the light of hope in the 2022-2023 season. They took back Rui Hachimura, Mo Bamba, D’Angelo Russell, Jarred Vanderbilt and Malik Beasley, while only losing Kendrick Nunn, Patrick Beverley, Russell Westbrook and 1 first round pick.

Although the Los Angeles Lakers could not bring back their number 1 target, Kyrie Irving. However, fans of the Yellow – Purple team can rest assured about the rest of the season. LeBron James and the management team are doing their best to help the Los Angeles Lakers compete in the Playoffs round.
