GOLDEN State Warriors star Steph Curry and his wife Ayesha have welcomed their fourth 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥.
The four-time NBA champion shared the big news on Sunday, revealing his newly-𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐧 son’s name is Caius Chai.
In a joint Instagram post, Steph, 36, and Ayesha, 35, announced that Caius Chai was 𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐧 on May 11.
“Our sweet 𝑏𝑎𝑏𝑦 boy decided to make an early arrival!!” they wrote.
“He’s doing great and we are finally settling in at home as a family of 6! So grateful!”
Caius Chai is Curry’s second son after Canon, who was 𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐧 in 2018.
The Warriors star welcomed his first 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥, daughter Riley, in 2012.
Three years later, Steph and Ayesha had a 𝑏𝑎𝑏𝑦 girl Ryan.
The Currys are yet to explain the meaning behind Caius Chai’s name.
But there likely is one considering the couple’s meticulousness in choosing their 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥ren’s monikers.
In 2018, Ayesha told People that they picked out Canon’s name during their honeymoon in 2011.
But the couple had two daughters first, and so they had to wait seven years before they could use it.
“Canon always stuck with us,” Ayesha said.
“France is one of our favorite places to vacation.
And so his name’s actually French and it means young wolf, which Stephen loved because we kind of consider ourselves a wolf pack.”
Canon also means “official of the church,” Mrs. Curry added, emphasizing the family’s religious beliefs.
“Our faith is everything to us, and so we just thought it fit so much,” she said.
Ayesha revealed being pregnant with Caius Chai in an interview with her lifestyle magazine, Sweet July, three months ago.
The cookbook author and entrepreneur revealed they decided to have another 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥 after realizing something in their lives was missing.
“For so many years, Stephen and I thought we were done,” she said.
“We said, ‘Three, that’s it, we’re not doing this again.’ And then, last year, we looked at each other and agreed we wanted to do this again.
“For me, the decision came from always finding myself looking around and feeling like somebody was missing.
“I would load up the car and think, ‘Oh, I forgot something.’
“But nobody was forgotten. It started to turn my brain a little bit. Maybe somebody was missing.
“So we set out on this journey, knowing that this would complete our family.”
