TNT reporter Chris Haynes firmly believes JJ Redick will become the Los Angeles Lakers’ next head coach.
There is a huge chance that former NBA player JJ Redick becomes the next coach of the Los Angeles Lakers.
In an interview on The Dan Patrick Show, TNT reporter and senior NBA insider Chris Haynes firmly believes the Lakers will hire Redick for their head coaching vacancy.
“I will be very surprised if their next head coach is anybody but JJ Redick. Everything that I’m hearing is JJ Redick. From what I know he’s doing some background, calling some assistant coaching candidates who might be able to join his staff,” Haynes said.
“I’m pretty positive it will be JJ.”
NBA reporter Marc Stein had earlier reported that Redick is already looking for people to add to his coaching staff, namely Sam Cassell, James Borrego, and Jared Dudley.
Redick, who has seen success as an NBA podcaster and media personality, is currently serving as a color commentator for ESPN’s broadcast team alongside Mike Breen and Doris Burke.
