French striker Kylian Mbappe says it’s a “dream come true” as he moves to Real Madrid on a five-year contract.
Mbappe (25 years old) will move to Real Madrid Club for free, with a 5-year contract, after his contract with Paris St-Germain expires on June 30. The World Cup champion agreed to join Real Madrid in February. And last May, he announced that he would leave PSG at the end of the season.
Writing on his personal Instagram page , Mbappe said: “No one can understand how excited I am right now! The dream has come true. So happy and proud to join the dream club mine”.
According to ESPN, Mbappe has agreed to a deal to stay at the Bernabeu until 2029. He will earn 15 million euros per season. There is also a bonus of 150 million euros that will be paid over 5 years. And he will keep part of his image copyright.
In the immediate future, Mbappe is on duty for the French team. It is expected that Mbappe will be present at the Bernabeu after the end of the Euro 2024 campaign . Recently, Mbappe bought a house in Madrid. It is the old house of former star Gareth Bale in the La Finca development on the outskirts of the city.
Mbappe left the French capital as the record scorer in PSG history , with 256 goals in 308 matches. Last season, the striker scored 44 goals in 48 matches and won the title of Best Player in the French First Division (Ligue 1) for the sixth consecutive time.
In 7 seasons with PSG, Mbappe won a total of 15 titles with PSG, including 6 Ligue 1 championships . The only regret for Mbappe is that he has never won a European Cup with PSG.
