The 74 year old model was recognized for breaking into the high fashion world after a nearly 60 year long career.
Maye Musk is nowhere near slowing down. After nearly 60 years in the modeling industry, the 74-year old is adding the “Breakthrough Model Award” to her list of accomplishments. Awarded at the ninth annual Fashion Media Awards hosted by the Daily Front Row, Musk was honored in front of the fashion and entertainment elite including the likes of Heidi Klum, Doja Cat and Ethan Hawke.

In a recent IG post, Musk wrote, “Thank you @dailyfrontrow for the Breakthrough Model award. It is wonderful to be honored for my modeling career of nearly 60 years, and now breaking into high fashion in my 70s.”
The 2022 SI Swimsuit cover model attended the event with her son, Kimbal Musk, daughter, Tosca Musk, and The Wall Group’s founder, Brooke Wall who spoke highly of the A Woman Makes a Plan author. In the Rainbow Room in New York City, Wall introduced Musk, “Maye Musk does not need an introduction – this incredible woman who inspires me and so many others everyday has been modeling since she was a teen! And at 74 receiving the breakthrough award! Maye has single handedly raised 3 of the most incredible humans on the planet and has the best work ethic of anyone I’ve ever met. Her professionalism, drive, patience, intelligence, kindness, and loyalty shine from the minute you meet her! At the youthful age of 74 she knows how to party better than any rockstar! I’ll never forget walking into a dive bar in Paris and Maye immediately ordering a Sex on the Beach!”
Musk accepted the award alongside two of her 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥ren who have been some of her biggest supporters. “My other son Elon would have been here tonight if he wasn’t launching a rocket into space. I don’t think most mothers can say that,” said Musk in her acceptance speech. Elon Musk’s SpaceX rockets recorded their record 14th landing on Saturday night.
