Anthony Davis and LeBron James are confused after Dan Hurley declines the Lakers job.

Los Angeles Lakers fans are not having a good Monday.

It was announced this morning that Dan Hurley — who had been rumored as the Lakers’ future head coach — has turned down their six-year, $70 million offer in order to remain with the UConn Huskies and chase a third straight NCAA Championship.

While this news is a tough blow for Lakers fans, fans of other NBA teams are having a field day on social media about Hurley sticking with UConn.

And many of the posts are throwing shade at LeBron James and Anthony Davis, as well.

“Dan Hurley turned down a 60% salary increase because he didn’t want to coach LeBron?” one X user wrote.

“LeBron after seeing Dan Hurley’s decision,” wrote another, along with an iconic pic of LeBron.

“Dan Hurley’s immediate reaction when Anthony Davis asks for two days off for load management,” a third fan wrote, along with a video of Hurley going ballistic on UConn’s sidelines.

Lakers fans will have to live with these stray shots for as long as their head coach search remains.
