Tupac Shakur’s Former Mansion Hits the Market for $2.659 Million
The last residence of rapper and actor Tupac Shakur, a sprawling mansion spanning nearly 6,000 square feet in Woodland Hills near the Calabasas border, is now up for sale at a price of $2.659 million, as reported by TMZ.
Shakur resided in this house from 1995 until his tragic murɗer in Las Vegas in 1996. While the property was initially leased for him by his record label at the time, DеатҺ Row Records, the Los Angeles Times revealed in 2000 that Shakur had been in the process of purchasing the house at the time of his untimely demise.
In a 1997 Vanity Fair profile of the artist, it was noted that the residence, where Shakur lived with his fiancée Kidada Jones (daughter of renowned music mogul Quincy Jones), was always filled with visiting members of Shakur’s extended family and “any friend who needed a bed.”
Outside the house, one can still find carved into the concrete the lyrics to Shakur’s song “Made Ni**az”—the final song for which he made an official video before his passing—declaring, “Let no man separate what we create.”
According to TMZ, the six-bedroom house has undergone visible updates since the late 1990s, courtesy of the current owner who invested approximately $1 million into renovations. (Mark Hermann, the listing agent, mentions that the property has changed hands twice since Tupac’s residency.)
The listing highlights a range of luxurious amenities, including a large stainless steel stove and a master suite complete with a private sitting room and a jacuzzi tub.
