The QB is impressing in pre-season
The Kansas City Chiefs bounced back from their week one pre-season loss by destroying the Arizona Cardinals 38-10 on Saturday, with Patrick Mahomes getting a run-out in the stadium where he won the Super Bowl in February.
The quarterback completed 10 of 15 passes for 105 yards and one touchdown, but it was actually one of his five incomplete passes that went viral.

Running towards the sidelines and pursued by several Cardinals players, Mahomes leapt into the air and ripped off a pass before his boots hit the out-of-bounds line.
It was incomplete, as Marquez Valdes-Scantling couldn’t quite come down with it, but the athleticism of Mahomes was incredible.
“I don’t know if he knew I was still going to throw it,” Mahomes said afterwards when asked about that play.
“It’s good work being able to scramble around, work that scramble drill.
“He told me after the fact that I should have just ran out of bounds!
“As long as I’m not getting hit, I should try some stuff out.”

Patrick Mahomes wants momentum
Speaking after the game, Mahomes explained how important it is for the Chiefs to build up some momentum before they kick off the new NFL season against the Detroit Lions on Thursday, September 7.
“You want to have that momentum going into the regular season,” the quarterback told the media afterwards.
“We’re trying to get better and trying to work on stuff.”
