The basketball world is still very much mourning the loss of Kobe Bryant.
On Wednesday, what would’ve been Bryant’s 45th šš¢š«šš”day, LeBron James took to Instagram with a tribute for his old opponent/friend.
LeBron shared a photo of he and Bryant shaking hands early in both of their legendary basketball careers. He captioned the post with an infinity sign and a “Mamba” emoji.
Take a look at theĀ heartfelt post here:
Bryant, his 13-year-old daughter Gigi and seven others were šš¾ššed in a tragic helicopter accident on January 26, 2020. LeBron and many others around the league have taken every opportunity to honor the late great Kobe since that day.
“I promise you I’ll continue your legacy man! You mean so much to us all here especially #LakerNation and it’s my responsibility to put this shit on my back and keep it going!!” LeBron wrote in a post after Bryant’s passing.
Though LeBron and Kobe never teamed up in theĀ NBA, they did lead the United States to two Olympic gold medals together in 2008 and 2012.
