Paul Merson believes Nicolas Jackson could be a brilliant attacking threat for Chelsea once he fully settles into the club.
Nicolas Jackson, who’s just 22, has started the season as the frontline striker at Stamford Bridge.
His return of one goal in his opening five games across all competitions won’t excite anyone, but his actual performances do the exact opposite.
The £32million (Evening Standard) centre-forward has been impressive in leading the line with his pace, movement and work rate. He’s not quite had his shooting boots on yet, though.

Merson has offered some words of encouragement for Chelsea’s attacker as domestic football returns after the international break.
“Raheem Sterling has started the season strongly and despite scoring just once in the Premier League, Nicolas Jackson has shown flashes of his brilliance and could cause major problems for opposition teams once he’s finished adapting to his new surroundings, Merson told Sportskeeda.

Hopefully, Jackson can get himself in the goal this Sunday afternoon when Chelsea travel to Bournemouth in the league.
Speaking on talkSPORT earlier this month, Darren Bent suggested Jackson is still capable of scoring close to 20 goals this season.
He went on a goalscoring run with Villarreal at the end of last season when he netted nine times in eight La Liga matches, so he’s certainly capable of finding the back of the net.
With Blues striker Armando Broja edging back from injury, Jackson may soon have a new pressure on him for a starting position.
