‘Very talented’ Chelsea player now spotted training despite international manager claiming he was injured

Chelsea striker Armando Broja has been spotted yesterday in first team training ahead of their return to the Premier League this weekend.

Pictures on the 5th Stand app show the 22-year-old amongst his teammates despite him not playing a part in the action for his country this week.

After making just two starts in the past nine months or so, Broja was selected for the Albania team again as they pursued qualification to Euro 2024.

However, their manager Sylvinho admitted he was in no shape to compete, and he had to return to Stamford Bridge for treatment.

He later went on to say that he was in no shape to represent his nation as soon as he joined up, which was surprising to some given the fact that he had started the games against both Fulham and Burnley.

The news was no doubt concerning though, as Chelsea’s injury problems continued to mount up over the international break.

Broja back in training

Axel Disasi was deemed not fit to travel with the France team, as he faces a race against time to make it for the London derby at the weekend.

Another early departure last week was Cole Palmer, who suffered a dead leg in the first game of the break. He is now expected to play a part when Arsenal turn up to Stamford Bridge on Saturday.

It looks as if Broja could be in line to play his own part, with him being seen amongst the first team who are preparing.

Mauricio Pochettino has been impressed with him since he returned, describing him as ‘very talented’.

He will be competing with Nicolas Jackson for a place in the starting side, with him available despite a minor operation to his wrist.

The Senegal international found the net last time out, which could be enough to see him given the nod up front.
