“Grateful is an Understatement” describes the African-American woman who is called to the US bar and becomes the first attorney in her family.

A young African-American lady named Lauren Rolfe has set a record as the first lawyer in her family after she was sworn into the Florida bar in the United States.

Lauren Rolfe bagged her first degree in Political Science and Criminology from Hofstra University in the United States before moving on to obtain another degree in Law from the Florida State University College of Law, United States.

While in the College of Law, she was an active student in all areas. She was a member of the Moot Court, President of the Black law student association, and a Legal Writing Teaching Assistant.

Lauren shared her achievements of being sworn into the Florida State Bar as an attorney of law on her LinkedIn page. She added that she was sworn in by her mentor, Judge Anthony Miller. the Second Judicial Circuit Court in Florida.

”Today, I had the privilege of being sworn into the Florida Bar by Second Judicial Circuit Court Judge Anthony Miller who was an incredible mentor to me my 3L year.,” she wrote.

Lauren also stated that she was glad to have made her family proud though they were not physically present but were able to watch her achievement as the first lawyer in the family online.

”My family was able to watch live and Mitchell Canty was there by my side, What an honor it is to be the first attorney in my family and among the roughly 5% of Black attorneys in the nation. Grateful is an understatement! #lawyering, ” she wrote
