Brilliant Young man bags Mechanical Engineering degree with 3.92/4.00GPA, wins best student award

A brilliant young man named Otukoya Timothy has bagged a Mechanical Engineering degree at the University of Ibadan, Nigeria with an outstanding 3.92 over 4.00 cumulative grade point and was awarded the best graduating student.

Timothy bagged his Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Ibadan. He shared his achievement of baking inducted into the National Nigerian Society of Engineers on his Linkedin.

He graduated with first-class honors and won the award of the overall best-graduating student in the university’s department of Mechanical Engineering. Timothy was not just inducted into the Engineering Society, he was inducted as a graduate member.

” I am also pleased to inform you all that I graduated with first-class honors and was the very best student from the department of mechanical engineering, Faculty of Technology, University of Ibadan, with a CGPA of 3.92/4.00,” he said.

Timothy said his journey into Mechanical Engineering began at The Polytechnic, Ibadan where he enrolled for a diploma. He graduated with distinction and won the institution award as the Overall Best Student of his set with a  4.88 over a possible 5.00 cumulative grade point average.

He stated that his zeal to acquire more knowledge prompted his enrollment for a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Ibadan. He said despite being a photographer, he had a track record of excellence,  with a perfect grade point of 4.00.

Timothy mentioned that he also gained a solid foundation and developed a great interest in energy systems in relation to mechanical engineering. Aside from his academics, he also pursued extracurricular activities in leadership, sports, and volunteering.

Timothy said he served in the Academic Team of the Nigerian Institution of Mechanical Engineers, University of Ibadan Students’ Chapter, for three years and was elected the Academic Welfare Director in the departmental general election.

He stated that he was also a recipient of numerous awards of excellence and scholarships that helped with his finances while at the university. Timothy expressed his gratitude to his project supervisor for his scholarly guidance and support.

He also thanked the entire staff of PEKLAK ENGINEERING LIMITED for their technical and commercial support, mentorship, and tutoring while he was writing his final project. Timothy thanked his colleagues colleagues for their efforts, support, and contributions.

Timothy said he is looking forward to opportunities in the engineering field of energy, focusing on sustainable energy systems, storage, and conversion.
