Young Nigerian man beats 300 contestants to emerge winner of Global contest, wins $500 cash prize

A young Nigeran man named Paul Odyras Okoye has outshined 300 contestants to win a global essay competition and was awarded 500 dollars worth of cash prize for his excellent performance.

Paul Okoye, is a medical student at the Lagos State University College of Medicine,(LASUCOM), Lagos. He won a global essay competition organized by the World Federation of Neurosurgical Societies (WFNS) Foundation.

The World Federation of Neurosurgical Societies  Foundation had over 300 entries worldwide. Paul’s essay demonstrated academic excellence and underscored his commitment to raising awareness about Neurosurgery.

As part of the award, Paul also earned a full scholarship to attend one of the prestigious 2023 Neurosurgical World Congress in Cape Town, South Africa.

The event serves as a link for leading minds in Neurosurgery which will provide Paul with an opportunity to engage with experts, share insights, and contribute to the ongoing discourse within the field. In addition to this educational opportunity, Paul also got a $500 cash prize for winning the global competition.

In another story, a 17-year-old girl named Mary Masterman has outshined 1700 contestants to win a science talent competition in the United States. She was awarded 100000 dollars worth of scholarship.

Mary Masterman is a senior at Westmore High School in Oklahoma City who was named to the annual Intel Science Talent Search.
