Did Joe Biden post Nicki Minaj lyrics from Big Foot in response to Trump getting shot? Viral story debunked

A viral post circulating on social media claimed that American President Joe Biden responded to former President Donald Trump getting shot at with Nicki Minaj lyrics. The post claimed that Joe Biden posted lyrics to Nicki Minaj’s Big Foot on his official Instagram story in response to the Saturday, July 13, assassination attempt on Trump.

The alleged Instagram story was posted on by @OnikaPoppin. @OnikaPoppin is a prominent Nicki Minaj fan account, followed by the Starships hitmaker herself. The lyrics of the track allegedly taken from Spotify, seemingly look like a direct response to the shooting. The Big Foot verse allegedly posted by Joe Biden reads:

“F**k you get shot with no scar? (Brr)”

The tweet amassed over 553,000 views and 17,000 likes at the time of writing this article.

However, President Joe Biden has not posted anything of that sort on his official Instagram account. The United States President did address the apparent assassination attempt on Donald Trump but not through lyrics of Nicki Minaj’s Big Foot.

Prominent Instagram account The Shade Room also took to the platform to clarify that Biden did not post Big Foot lyrics on his Instagram. @OnikaPoppin also re-posted The Shade Room’s Instagram post on X captioned “Lmfaoooooo”, suggesting that the post was meant to be satire.

President Joe Biden issued a statement in response to Donald Trump’s apparent assassination attempt on Saturday. The president acknowledged that he was made aware of the Pennsylvania shooting and stated:

“I’m grateful to hear that he’s safe and doing well. I’m praying for him and his family and for all those who were at the rally, as we await further information.”

He added:

“Jill and I are grateful to the Secret Service for getting him to safety. There’s no place for this kind of violence in America. We must unite as one nation to condemn it.”Donald Trump says he was shot in the ear

On Saturday, July 13, shots were fired at Donald Trump’s rally in Butler, Pennsylvania resulting in injuries to the former American President who was rushed off the stage by the Secret Service.

Images of the former president with blood all over his right ear, holding his fist in the air, and yelling “fight!” multiple times as the Secret Service rushed him off stage went viral on social media.

One person in the Pennsylvania crowd, identified as a man, tragically lost his life during the apparent assassination attempt on Trump while two other men were critically injured.

The shooter, who was stationed on the roof of a building 164 yards away from where Trump was speaking with an AR-style rifle, was 𝓀𝒾𝓁𝓁ed by the U.S. Secret Service counterassault team.

The shooter was identified as 20-year-old Bethel Park, Pennsylvania resident Thomas Matthew Crooks. Donald Trump issued a statement on Truth Social thanking the United States Secret Service and all law enforcement for their rapid response to the incident.

The former president extended his condolences to the family of the person who lost his life in the incident and another person who was critically injured. He remarked that it was incredible for such an act to take place in the country.

Trump acknowledged the death of the shooter and revealed that the bullet had hit his ear. The former president wrote:

“I was shot with a bullet that pierced the upper part of my right ear. I knew immediately that something was wrong in that I heard a whizzing sound, shots, and immediately felt the bullet ripping through the skin. Much bleeding took place, so I realized then what was happening. GOD BLESS AMERICA!”

President Joe Biden addressed the shooting in person while in Delaware. Biden stated that there was no place for “this kind of violence” in America. The President said:

“It’s sick. It’s sick. That’s one of the reasons why we have to unite this country. You cannot allow for this to be happening. We cannot be like this. We cannot condone this.”

President Biden further added that the the idea that there was political violence or violence in the United States akin to this was just “unheard of”. When asked if this was an assassination attempt on the former President, Biden responded:

“I don’t know enough to — I have an opinion, but I don’t have any facts. So I want to make sure we have all the facts before I make any more comments.”

The White House confirmed that Joe Biden and Donald Trump had spoken on the phone on Saturday night after the apparent assassination attempt on the latter.
