Aguilar’s disappearance was strange as loved ones described her as a gym rat and health nut, who had meal-prepped for the week before going missing.

She has no history of mental health issues, drug problems, or disappearing for long periods of time.

Her Honda Civic was located in a mall parking lot a week later but Aguilar is still nowhere to be found.

When she failed to return home, her worried parents reported her missing.

“As a mother, I feel distressed and concerned because I need to know where my daughter is,” her mother Maria Gloria Aguilar told Univision from Honduras.

Her father, Jose Martin, said his wife is “sick and depressed” about their daughter’s disappearance.

Their concerns grew worse after it was revealed that Aguilar had a stalker.

“There was this man that would follow her to different gyms,” David Lara, one of Aguilar’s friends told Fox affiliate KSAZ-TV.

Her family hired missing persons private investigator Steve Fischer in a desperate attempt to find Aguilar.

Fischer told the outlet that Aguilar’s alleged stalker would show up at the parking lot of her gym.

Because of this, Aguilar was forced to switch gyms three times, said Fischer.

Fischer also said the man would send Aguilar frightening messages on Facebook, including sending her pictures of weapons.

Aguilar even filed a police report against the man On June 9.

This was after she noticed he was following her through a Walmart in Phoenix, according to Fischer.

“They’re scared to death. I can see the fear in their faces,” he said of Aguilar’s family.

Aguilar’s parents reported their daughter missing that evening when the 25-year-old failed to return home after leaving around 7 pm.

“I ask you all from the bottom of my heart to help me find Maricela safe and sound,” Aguilar’s mother told Univision.

Phoenix police declined to confirm if Aguilar had a stalker.

The city’s police department told The U.S. Sun they’re “investigating every possible lead, including any suspects that would have been reported by Ms. Aguilar in the past.”

The U.S. Sun has reached out to Fischer for comment.
