Netflix’s hit gothic series Wednesday has brought back many famous Addams Family figures, and one season 2 appearance can perfectly replace a major season 1 presence. The Wednesday cast and characters include Wednesday Addams (Jenna Ortega), the series’ main character, Morticia, Gomez, Pugsley, Uncle Fester, Thing, and even classic Addams Family actress Christina Ricci. Each of these beloved characters has moved the plot forward, whether helping Wednesday solve the mystery at Nevermore Academy or uncovering more of the family’s dynamics.

Some famous Addams Family characters did not have a prominent role in season 1, but could in Wednesday season 2. There is the popular hirsuite character, Cousin Itt. A portrait of him is featured in season 1, promoting the potential of his character to appear down the road. However, while Itt is arguably a more peripheral presence, another as-yet-unseen presence is Grandmama Addams. Her character is confirmed to appear in the show’s second season and could easily have a significant role in Wednesday’s life as she attends Nevermore Academy by acting as another character’s replacement.
