She recounted sleeping on floors and in her car, being broke with only $12 to her name. In the face of these challenges, Asia demonstrated remarkable resilience. She learned to speak “properly” to overcome prejudices based on her Southern accent. She overcame discrimination based on her skin color and pushed through the hardships with discipline and perseverance.
