Billionaire Elon Musk’s Colossus supercomputer promises to bring superior AI (artificial intelligence) power.
According to WCCF Tech , the artificial intelligence company xAI founded by billionaire Elon Musk has just announced that the Colossus supercomputer has officially come into operation. Equipped with 100,000 NVIDIA H100 GPUs, Colossus is currently the most powerful AI training system in the world .
According to Mr. Musk, Colossus was completed in just 122 days, since the project started in June in Memphis (USA). The system began the AI training process in July and is expected to upgrade to GROK 3 version in December, replacing the current GROK 2.

Not stopping there, xAI also plans to upgrade Colossus with 50,000 more H200 GPUs – NVIDIA’s most powerful data center GPU line – in the coming months. This will help double its performance.
With its superior computing power, Colossus will be an important platform for xAI to develop advanced AI models, aiming to create the ‘world’s most powerful AI’.
NVIDIA also congratulated the xAI team for this success.
Currently, Colossus is the only supercomputer in the world to reach 100,000 NVIDIA GPUs , surpassing other technology giants such as Google AI (90,000 GPUs) and OpenAI (80,000 GPUs).
The launch of Colossus marks a new step forward in the race to develop AI, and confirms billionaire Elon Musk’s ambition to make xAI one of the leading companies in this field. However, there are also concerns about the use of such powerful AI, especially in the context of increasing concerns about ethics and safety issues related to AI.
