On September 19, Shakira’s media representative spoke out about Shakira being harassed at the LIV Miami nightclub. While performing, the singer was filmed up her skirt. She repeatedly asked the man to stop harassing her, but he did not cooperate. The La La La singer became angry and walked out of the show.
Immediately after the video spread on social media, viewers were outraged and demanded justice for Shakira. Initially, the public thought that the stalker was a crazy fan of the singer. However, what shocked the audience was that the person secretly filming was the Latin star’s staff.
Sofia Bukele, Shakira’s communications director, explained that the man who filmed under her skirt was not a fan but an employee of the singer. This person is in charge of positioning himself underneath to record and publish videos on the platforms.
“Although there were rumors that Shakira was harassed by fans, the truth is that the cameraman was an employee of the singer. He was in charge of recording Shakira’s performance at the famous nightclub,” explained Sofía Bukele.
Bukele also said that the report that Shakira is having difficulties due to harassment is not true. “She simply asked the staff to hang up the phone so she could enjoy the memorable show. There was no way she would get angry and leave,” this person added.
