“Mrs. Norma was the best. Prayers to the entire Hunt family.”
The Kansas City Chiefs organization was struck with some unfortunate news on Sunday, as the mother of Chiefs owner Clark Hunt, Norma Hunt passed away at the age of 85. Star quarterback Patrick Mahomes took to social media to send the Hunt family a touching message, along with an anecdote about Norma Hunt.
In his message, Mahomes detailed that he is glad to be “a part of the special organization she helped build.”
“Mrs. Norma was the best. Glad to be a part of this special organization she help build. She will be missed! Prayers to the entire Hunt family.”
Mahomes has always appeared to have a close relationship with the Chiefs organization, which is why he decided to sign a long-term contract with the organization back in July of 2020.
Norma Hunt has quite the legacy when it comes to her impact on the history of the Chiefs organization. Her late husband, Lamar Hunt, was the founder of the Chiefs who helped with the merger of the AFL and the NFL
Norma Hunt also holds the distinction of going to every Super Bowl ever played. The Hunt family also added in their statement of her passing that she is the only woman to ever attend every Super Bowl.
She’ll certainly be missed, and it’s nice to see such a nice message to the Hunt family that are clearly mourning Norma Hunt’s loss.
