New parents Nick Jonas and聽Priyanka Chopra聽held hands after enjoying a romantic sushi date at celeb-favorite Nobu Malibu on Sunday night.
It was the first date night for the couple since they welcomed their 饾憦饾憥饾憦饾懄 daughter via surrogate last month, 12 weeks before her due date.
Priyanka, 39, looked gorgeous in a striped blouse teamed with belted denim bell bottoms as she left the restaurant with her husband, 29.
Nick wore a Gucci cross-body bag over a striped hoodie, white jeans, and matching shoes for the date night, while Priyanka had her own designer accessory – a聽Louis Vuitton bag.
Both Priyanka and Nick were still wearing disposable face masks, which remain mandatory indoors in Los Angeles County despite waning COVID-19 infection and hospitalization numbers.
Earlier, Chopra – who boasts 157.1M social media followers – shared a hand-holding car snap via聽Instastory聽captioned: ‘My favorite kind of Sunday.’
Since聽confirming聽they welcomed their first 饾槫饾槱饾槳饾槶饾槬 via surrogate on January 21,聽DailyMail.com聽discovered the Jonas’ daughter was 饾悰饾惃饾惈饾惂 12 weeks premature and will remain in the SoCal hospital until she is healthy enough to come home.
The married couple of three years originally met in 2017 at an Oscars bash, but they didn’t truly connect until the Met Gala in 2018.
The couple, who married in 2018, announced the arrival of their 饾槫饾槱饾槳饾槶饾槬 in a statement posted to their Instagram accounts on Friday, January 21, though they did not reveal the 饾槫饾槱饾槳饾槶饾槬’s name or gender.
‘We are overjoyed to confirm that we have welcomed a 饾憦饾憥饾憦饾懄 via surrogate. We respectfully ask for privacy during this special time as we focus on our family. Thank you so much (heart emoji),’ the couple posted in a joint statement.
According to DailyMail.com’s insider, the A-list couple had been wanting to have a 饾憦饾憥饾憦饾懄 together for ‘quite sometime,’ but their schedules had gotten in the way of their family planning.
They eventually contacted an agency to explore their options and were connected them with a woman in SoCal who they believed was a good match.
‘Priyanka doesn’t have any fertility issues preventing her from having a 饾憦饾憥饾憦饾懄, but she is 39 now so it’s not getting any easier,’ the source said.
‘Their busy work schedules also mean that it’s difficult for them to physically be together to conceive when she is ovulating, so some time ago they went down the surrogacy route.
‘This is the woman’s fifth surrogacy. They met her and really liked her.
‘The 饾憦饾憥饾憦饾懄 had been due in April but the surrogate ended up giving 饾悰饾悽饾惈饾惌饾悺 on Sunday, so she was very premature,’ the insider added.
The 饾憦饾憥饾憦饾懄 girl and the surrogate are currently in hospital and Nick and Priyanka are waiting for the 饾憦饾憥饾憦饾懄 to be healthy enough to move to a hospital in Los Angeles.
