Anne Hathaway is a ray of sunshine in a bright yellow coat and smiley face beanie… after wrapping period movie Armageddon Time

Anne Hathaway was a ray of sunshine when she was spotted out and about in New York City this week.

The 39-year-old Oscar winner warded off the November cold with a long canary yellow coat for her latest outing.

She accessorized with a peppy hoodie that had a large yellow smiley face patch on it – not to be confused with the logo for Justin Bieber‘s brand Drew House.

Anne’s sprightly coat and hat formed an elegant contrast against the pale pink set of sweats she was wearing that day.

Just last week she announced on her Instagram page that she had completed filming on her upcoming movie Armageddon Time.

‘That’s a wrap on #ArmageddonTime! What a gem of an experience; feeling very grateful to everyone involved,’ she gushed in her caption.

‘Just in time, too…,’ she added, hinting at the fact that she was celebrating her 39th 𝐛𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐡day the day she posted that update.

Armageddon Time is written and directed by James Grey whose previous films include Little Odessa, The Immigrant and Ad Astra.

Inspired by the filmmaker’s own 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥hood in Flushing, Queens, the movie also features Anthony Hopkins and Succession star Jeremy Strong.

Robert De Niro, Cate Blanchett, Oscar Isaac and Donald Sutherland were all at one point attached to the project but all eventually parted ways with it.

Her other forthcoming film releases include a Sesame Street movie and a picture called Bum’s Rush where Bill Murray will play a dog.

She is also starring alongside Jared Leto on an upcoming miniseries based on the podcast WeCrashed: The Rise And Fall Of WeWork.
