Paige Spiranac approves Tiger Woods’ latest venture but do fans agree?

Woods launched his TGL league with Rory McIlroy on January 7.

Paige Spiranac, the famous golf influencer and model, has given Tiger Woods‘ new golf league a major endorsement by praising how it relaxes the players and allows them to bring their personalities out more.

The 48-year-old Woods founded the Tomorrow’s Golf League alongside Rory McIlroy. A 3×3 indoor competition, it’s an innovative approach to the sport that uses simulations to let players compete with each other.

They then transition to a physical golf green when they close to within 50 yards of the hole, combining inaugurated reality with the real deal.

Some 24 professionals are competing in the contest, which is also supported by the PGA Tour, as the inaugural season gets underway and in the view of the 31-year-old Spiranac, it’s already proving a success.

“Watching the launch of TGL,” Spiranac posted to X.com, formerly Twitter. “And I have to say it’s fun to see the guys more relaxed.

“I think we will really get to see their personalities shine in this format.”

Spiranac knows what she is talking about. Alongside her modelling and brand ambassadorships, the Cactus Tour winner also works as a putting coach and narrowly missed the cut for the LPGA in August 2016.

But even if she felt she needed some validation from her fans on the topic, she can be happy knowing that’s exactly what she got as they took to Elon Musk‘s social media app to respond to her.

One user said via X.com, “I agree. Def excited to learn more about some of these guys, see a side we don’t usually see.”

A second added, “Wasn’t sure what to expect and didn’t know the rules but this is pretty sweet so far.”

And a third commented, “I absolutely love this! So much u can do with this! I can’t wait to see more!!”

When are TGL games played?

The tournament kicked off live on ESPN on Tuesday, January 7 so fans have missed the opening round, but fear not, the next set of matches are just around the corner.

The TGL plays games on Monday and Tuesdays and will do so throughout January, February and March before entering a postseason phase. That means fans can catch the next instalment of action on January 13.
