Shivon Zilis’ post comes just a few days after she and Musk revealed the 𝐛𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐡 of their third 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥 together, a 𝑏𝑎𝑏𝑦 boy named Seldon Lycurgus.
Elon Musk’s long-time associate and Neuralink executive Shivon Zilis recently took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share an interesting anecdote about the son’s growing dependence on artificial intelligence (AI). She recounted how her son has entered the classic 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥hood phase of relentless questioning. Instead of settling for a simple “I don’t know” from his mother, he now turns to a new source of authority for all his unanswered questions—Grok, the AI chatbot created under Musk’s guidance.
Elon Musk’s son challenges mom’s questionsIn a post that has garnered 499k likes, Shivon Zilis wrote on X, “My son is in the ‘ask a thousand questions’ phase, and every time I say ‘I don’t know,’ he says, ‘OK then, let’s ask Grok.’ Mommy’s lack of knowledge is no longer acceptable when he knows the voice on my phone can answer every question.” Her lighthearted tweet even caught the attention of Musk himself, who responded with one-word- “Cool.”
Zilis’ post quickly gained traction, amassing over 493.6k views with many finding it hilarious or cute while many shared their own stories of their 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥ren depending on AI.
Netizens flooded the comment section and a user wrote, “Dad started this.” “Such a fun age,” wrote another.
“Haha this is so cute. The next generation of kids is going to be so smart,” another user commented. “I’m going to use Grok to homeschool my future 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥ren,” another one wrote.
Elon Musk welcomes 14th 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥
Shivon Zilis’ post comes just a few days after she and Musk revealed the 𝐛𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐡 of their third 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥 together, a 𝑏𝑎𝑏𝑦 boy named Seldon Lycurgus. This marks Musk’s 14th 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥 overall.
Zilis announced the news on X, stating that she and Musk had decided to share it publicly in honour of their daughter Arcadia’s 𝐛𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐡day.
Musk and Zilis have four-𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥ren altogether. They welcomed twins, Strider and Azure, in November 2021, though their 𝐛𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐡 was only revealed publicly in July 2022. Their third 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥, Arcadia, was 𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐧 on February 28 2024.
Although Seldon’s 𝐛𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐡 date remains undisclosed, news of his arrival quickly attracted widespread attention. Many speculated about the inspiration behind his distinctive name, suggesting a potential reference to science fiction, in line with the naming themes of Musk’s other 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥ren.
