Sy’rai Smith, the daughter of award-winning American singer and actress Brandy Norwood, has graduated at the top of her class with a Bachelor of Science in Entertainment Business from The Los Angeles Film School, United States.

The 22-year-old not only walked across the stage as a graduate but did so with distinction, earning Summa Cum Laude honors—a recognition for top-performing students in America.

Celebrating her daughter’s accomplishment, Brandy took to Instagram to express her pride and admiration. ”Sy’rai Iman Smith Summa Cum Laude Graduate of 2025 Bachelor of Science in Entertainment Business,” Brandy wrote.

She further expressed pride in her dauthers dedication to her studies despite having a budding career as an artist.

”I’m so proud of you my girl!! Your journey has been amazing to watch. Your dedication and perseverance are forever inspiring. You did it!! I love you so much and all I ask is for you to keep shining and dreaming as big as you can. Love Mama,” she added.

Sy’rai also shared her achievement on her win Instagram with pictures from her graduation shoot. She received yet another heartfelt message from her mother, who continued the celebration in the comments.

“I’m soooooooooo proud of you and the woman you continue to become! You’re the brightest light I’ve ever seen and I’m looking forward to the next chapter of your life. Congratulations #SyraiClassOf2025 #YouDidIt,” Brandy commented.

Sy’rai’s recent achievement is not the first in her higher academi pursuit. She previously earned an associate’s degree from the same institution in 2023.

In addition to her academic accomplishments, Sy’rai has begun carving out her place in the music world, following the path of her mother.
