Lesley Ugochukwu, Chelsea’s New Signing Is Lauded By Mauricio Pochettino, Who Also Makes A Few Allusions To Upcoming Transfers

Ugochukwu, formerly of Rennes, joined Chelsea on a seven-year, £23 million contract as part of the club’s remarkable buying binge under Todd Boehly.

The Rennes midfielder, who is only 19 years old, has already made 47 appearances in Ligue 1 for his club and is a fixture on France’s youth national teams.

Despite the possibility of being loaned back out, Pochettino now has more alternatives in the middle of the field with the addition of Ugochukwu following the departures of N’Golo Kante, Mateo Kovacic, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, and Mason Mount.

Pochettino announced that his new player would begin practicing with the team today. He’s a promising young player.

We need tо evaluate him, sо I can’t say if he’ll be able tо play tоmоrrоw оr nоt.

Since he is still young, we will evaluate him during the transfer window to determine if he will remain with us. He can either go out on loan or remain with us at this time.

“Ugochukwu is an impressive young player who has already made his mark in Ligue 1,” said Chelsea’s co-sporting directors Laurence Stewart and Paul Winstanley.

We can see so much potential in him, and we know he will grow and get better with time.

We hope he will be able to fit in well with the team and are glad he could make the trip to the United States for our preseason tour.

As Pochettino readies for his debut season at Stamford Bridge, he has hinted that Chelsea may have a hectic last week of the summer transfer window.

Last season, Chelsea finished in 12th position in the Premier League with Thomas Tuchel, Graham Potter, and Frank Lampard at the helm.

Pochettino has expressed his satisfaction with the club’s operations. We’re doing everything we can to round out the team as soon as possible.

However, we can all admit that surprises could occur in the last weeks of the transfer window.

It’s preferable to wrap up loose ends ahead of time. But not only for our club; for every club. Closing the squad the way we want to is crucial.

On Thursday, before their Premier League debut against Liverpool on August 13, Chelsea will play Borussia Dortmund in their final preseason match.
