Keanu Reeves Sold His Home For A Very Emotional Reason, And It Proves Why He’s The Nicest Guy In Hollywood

Keanu Reeves’ generous acts are truly endless, and that is backed by how humble the actor is. Heck, he waited outside for several minutes at his own party, choosing not to use his celebrity name as an advantage.

“Keanu looks very ordinary. It was raining, but he just waited for his two friends to come. He didn’t act like he had money. I just thought he was a rock ’n’ roller,” a witness recalls.

On movies sets, Keanu is a joy to work with. Not only does he help the crew behind the scenes, but he also takes the time to get to know everyone on the set.

As we’ll reveal in the following, Keanu’s kindness has been on display during multiple occasions, though the actor chooses to keep a lot of his kind acts on the down-low. We can only image how many other generous acts the actor hasn’t been credited for.

In the following, we’re also going to reveal his close relationship with his sister, and why he switched houses.

Keanu Reeves Spent Millions In Support Of His Sister’s Leukemia Battle

Sure, Keanu Reeves is a great actor, however, the man behind the performance is even better. According to an insider with Page Six, this is a major reason as to why Keanu Reeves continues to get cast in high profile films.

“The reason Keanu’s starred in 60 movies,” said one casting director who’s worked with him, “is that, on top of audiences, directors love him, co-stars love him, crews love him. He’s always prepared, he’s always on time. Considerate, communicative, caring — there’s no one whose name he doesn’t know or hasn’t had a conversation with.”

His acts of kindness also extend to his family, including his sister Kim who was diagnosed with leukemia back in 1991. To help with her battle, Keanu made significant donations to cancer research.

Page Six revealed, “Kim was diagnosed with leukemia in 1991, and that has inspired Reeves to reportedly donate millions to cancer charities — including auctioning a “date” with himself in 2020 for Camp Rainbow Gold, a 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥ren’s cancer organization. (Winning bid: $16,000.)”

Sister Kim acknowledged her brother’s behavior back in 2010, stating, “my brother is my prince.”

Keanu Reeves Had Sold His Home So He Could Be Closer To His Sister Who Was Battling Leukemia

Although there are several examples of Keanu’s kind-heart, there are even more situations that we don’t know about.

“Keanu’s given away a lot of money and done a lot more for people than most will ever know,” said the family friend. “He knows how lucky he is. Unlike many Hollywood mega stars, he never takes any of this for granted.”

In addition, Keanu was always very generous towards his sister and according to Fatherly, during her hard times, Keanu purposely moved closer to her, in an effort to add extra comfort.

“Keanu played a central role in helping her fight the disease over the next several decades, as he sold his house to move closer to her and reportedly spent over $5 million to get her the best treatment possible. He also had the Matrix sequels delayed so that he could continue to care for her,” Fatherly writes.

What makes the actor that much more remarkable is the fact that he doesn’t want his name attached to the donations.

“I don’t like to attach my name to it, I just let the foundation do what it does.”

Keanu Reeves’ Act Of Kindness Seem To Be Endless Both On And Off Movie Sets

Stories of Keanu Reeves and being a kind human being are endless. Over on Reddit, a fan revealed a story of Keanu’s kind heart, giving a set designer some extra funds for his family troubles, while also taking the time to know everyone’s name on-set.

“A family friend builds movie sets, doesn’t design, is one of the poor dudes that just builds. Anyways he worked on the set for the Matrix and Keanu heard about family trouble he was having and gave him a $20,000 Christmas bonus to help him out.”

“He also was one of the only people on the set that genuinely wanted to know peoples names, would say hello and mean it, and would talk to people as they were his peers and not below him just because they were practically making nothing to build a set.”

Among his other generous acts includes driving a stranger over 50 miles back home, supplying transport for his fellow passengers after their flight got stranded, and giving a huge chunk of his salary to those working behind the scenes on The Matrix.

In truth, that’s just a little snippet of his generous acts.
