Mariah Natabus said her cute butterfly and flower tattoo turned into a “nightmare” after she suffered a painful skin reaction – so now she claims to be suing the parlour
A woman who paid £250 for a floral tattoo fears she may be scarred for life after she suffered a painful reaction.
Mariah Natabus, 21, got the cute flower and butterfly design done on her right leg last November.
But just 10 days later, the area ballooned, became red and started itching.
Nine months down the line, the Staffordshire lass is still battling “nightmare” symptoms.
She said: “The tattoo is always sore and it looks horrid, but I’ve been to the doctors and no treatment has worked. It’s been a nightmare.”

Mariah, who has autism, initially put off seeking medical help because she felt anxious.
But when it became too uncomfortable to manage, she sought treatment.

She said: “I was happy at first with the tattoo but then it became all scabby and puss was coming out of it.
“I tried to use tattoo cream on it but that didn’t work.
“I left it for ages because I was too scared to go to the doctors and it just got worse and worse.
“Eventually, after three months, I had to see someone. It was so uncomfortable.”

Mariah was prescribed skin cream, but it hasn’t worked as well as she’d hoped and she’s still struggling months on.
She added: “I’ve been prescribed creams by the dermatologist but nothing has worked. I’ve given up on medical help now as it’s too stressful for me.
“The itching gets worse in hot weather. I have to cover my leg all the time.”
Mariah says she has recently began legal proceedings against the tattoo parlour.
However the parlour dismissed claims that the tattoo became infected – instead suggesting Mariah likely suffered an allergic reaction.
