Peek Inside This Overlook Cabin in the Blue Ridge Mountains

This Bent Mountain, Virginia log cabin is stunning. This log cabin offers views of the Roanoke valley and the Blue Ridge Parkway for over 100 miles. The cabin is part a 450-acre farm, and offers a tranquil mountain setting. The log cabin is furnished in period antiques and has luxurious linens and bed linens. You can relax by the outdoor stone fireplace while you stargaze. Just 25 minutes away from fine dining and entertainment, as well as the Roanoke Regional Airport.

The log cabin features 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, sleeps 4 and includes linens, fully equipped kitchen with washer and dryer, fireplace (wood included), TV for DVD only and no cable/satellite. Smoking and pets are not allowed. The log cabin features mountain views, heating and air conditioning. It also has linens provided, a dryer, a clothes washer, and a fireplace in its living area. The master bedroom has a wood-burning fireplace. The cabin includes parking, towels provided and iron and board. There is also a toilet paper dispenser, hairdryer, shampoo, conditioner, iron and board and toilet paper. The log cabin features a kitchen, dining room, outdoor and indoor tables for 4, as well as television, DVD, Blu-ray, and entertainment. The cabin also includes books and an outside deck.

The cabin is 1.3 mi from Bent Mountain Bistro, and 4.7 from AmRhein’s Wine Cellars. Trail-setters will love the iconic Blue Ridge mountains in Virginia. Cahas Mountain, Read Mountain and the Peaks of Otter to choose from, or you can head westward to explore Catawba Mountain to the west. This mountain is famous for its legendary summits. These are just a few of the many things you can do in the area.

Hiking Trails. Nature lovers looking for a great hike will love Bent Mountain Falls. This hike is best planned in advance. You should allow approximately two hours for the Bent Mountain hike. It is almost five miles round trip.

Scenic Drive on Bent Mountain. You can take a scenic drive down Route 221, Brambleton Avenue. It leaves Roanoke, Bent Mountain Road, and ends at Callaway Road. Callaway Road is the access point to the Blue Ridge Parkway. Route 221, which passes through farmland and churches, climbs through forested areas, and winds its way up to reach more open areas for grazing livestock, is a great route. Route 221 can be taken to Floyd if you have the time. This is where you’ll find Floyd Country Store, famous for its Friday Night Jamboree concerts.
