Getting a tattoo can sometimes be a risky game – especially if you’re getting them in places you can’t see them.
And one woman’s gamble didn’t pay off the way she wanted it to after she paid a visit to a tattoo artist.

She wanted simple butterflies inked behind her ear – but was left with something completely different.
Adelina, who posts on social media as @adeliinadyz, showed her follower the two small but detailed butterflies she wanted.
The 19-year-old, from Freiburg im Breisgau, Germany, wrote over the top of the reference images: “This is what I wanted.”

When she showed what she actually got, it was far from what she wanted.
The subtle designs were done much bigger and looked more like grey smudges on her skin than a butterfly.

In the caption, she dubbed it a “tattoo fail”.
TikTok viewers were left shocked at the result, which gained more than 8,900 views, as one user wrote: “Poor you.”
Another asked her: “Did you pay for it?”
To which, she replied: “No luckily not.”
