Brighton No.30 Pervis Estupinan has heaped praise on Moises Caicedo – and tipped him to achieve big things at Chelsea.
The Ecuador international was speaking about his fellow countryman while on international duty.
So, what did Pervis Estupinan say about Moises Caicedo? Let’s take a look…
What’s the story?
Well, the £14.9m Brighton defender thinks Chelsea’s £115m man can “take on the world” in future, given his vast potential.
As quoted by ESPN Deportes, Estupinan said: “We talked like two brothers (about the transfer). I told him that any decision he made would make me happy. We continued talking because it is a friendship that has remained.
“He is a boy with all the conditions to take on the world. He is a great player, he is going to continue growing, he will have downturns, which will help him learn a lot and continue growing.”

Clearly, the South American is very close with the 21-year-old Chelsea youngster.
It would be easy to diminish Estupinan’s comments as nothing more than a friend talking up a friend, but Chelsea fans should take note.
The 25-year-old played alongside Caicedo at Brighton, and of course, plays with him for Ecuador on the international scene too, so there aren’t many who have witnessed what the Chelsea No.25 can do on a first hand basis more than Estupinan has.
Tough start to life at Chelsea for Moises Caicedo
Hopefully, Caicedo can enjoy a few solid performances for Ecuador over the international break, as his start to life at Chelsea has been difficult.

The Ecuadorian conceded a penalty on his debut in the 3-1 loss to West Ham, and was also caught in possession before Anthony Elanga’s winner for Nottingham Forest last Saturday.
That is not to say Caicedo that was at fault for those two losses by any means – the whole side performed poorly – but there is definitely room for improvement after the international break.
