Chelsea Player Ratings: Robert Sanchez Stars And Mykhailo Mudryk Shows Flashes But

Chelsea could not find a breakthrough against Bournemouth as they could only manage a draw on their return to Premier League action

Robert Sanchez – Came out really well in the 18th minute to smother Dango Ouattara’s shot in a match. Produced a really good performance with his hands and feet, typified by a fantastic save from Dominik Solanke’s 80th minute shot through Axel Disasi’s legs. 8.

Malo Gusto – Sanchez spared his blushes when he lost Dango but otherwise continued to prove his consistency in defence during Reece James’ absence. Delivery wasn’t up to scratch however. 5.

Axel Disasi – Solid enough outing in the opening period before he almost played Chelsea into trouble with a poor pass to Sanchez early in the second. 5.

Thiago Silva – Spent plenty of time on the ball and co-ordinating Chelsea’s build-up play with some impressive passing. 6.

Levi Colwill – The defender saw his goal ruled out for offside and caused some trouble in the opposition area in the second period after being given more licence to attack. 6.

Lesley Ugochukwu – Started the game strongly in difficult conditions at the base of midfield, battling to win the ball and keeping it too. Very solid outing when Chelsea had few other options in the role. 6.

Conor Gallagher – Helped Chelsea keep ticking in the opening half and consistently found pockets of space to turn into. Would have hoped to finish better at the end of the first half after keeping his chance alive with a good turn. 7.

Enzo Fernandez – Brought the same quality touches but never felt involved enough in Chelsea’s play for long stretches. 5.

Raheem Sterling – Picked up an early yellow card for a poor tackle but once again provided a direct threat on the right. Should have finished better in the opening half but was at the centre of a lot of Chelsea’s better play. Swapped flanks following Cole Palmer’s introduction. 6.

Mykhailo Mudryk – Was involved in Chelsea’s attacking play from the first whistle and had a really promising first half hour to create some big chances but faded as the opening half went on. Showed promising flashes before being replaced after the hour mark. 6.

Nicolas Jackson – Still looks in need of some momentum and went close to finding some in the first half and showed some promising combinations with Mudryk. Struggled to prove a real threat over the course of 90 minutes though. 5.

Cole Palmer – Was introduced on the right side but showed his ability to ghost across the pitch in search of the ball. Some promising moments. 6.

Ben Chilwell – Found Jackson with a cross within a minute of being on the pitch as he featured on the left side of defence for the first time this term. 6.

Ian Maatsen – Quickly injected some pace into Chelsea’s attack and saw his close-range shot blocked. 6.
