Tom Brady shuts down questions on replacing Aaron Rodgers on the Jets after retired NFL legend, 46, was linked with ANOTHER comeback: ‘No, no, no. Next question’

Tom Brady is presumably tired of getting questions on the possibility of replacing Aaron Rodgers as the New York Jets‘ starting quarterback, as the NFL legend was quick to dismiss another comeback from retirement.

The Jets have been relying on Zach Wilson after Rodgers went down with a season-ending Achilles injury just four snaps into his first game under center for the Jets in Week 1 action against the Buffalo Bills.

New York’s front office executives are adamant about sticking with Wilson as the team’s starter, so far, and have denied reports of giving Brady a call after Rodgers was confirmed to have surgery.

On his SiriusXM show ‘Lets Go!’ on Monday, Brady was asked by co-host Jim Gray if the Jets have reached out to him to inquire about any potential interest of his to call another snap in the NFL.

Brady – a seven-time Super Bowl champion – interrupted Gray off before the latter could even finish, saying: ‘No, no, no. Next question. You already know. I love being with you guys on Monday and I love what we’ve got going.’

Then, Gray along with Brady and third co-host Larry Fitzgerald shifted their focuses to incoming guest Deion Sanders.

Wilson got his first start of the season this past Sunday in a 30-10 loss to the Dallas Cowboys at AT&T Stadium, completing 12 of 27 passing attempts for 170 yards, one touchdown and three interceptions.

Brady called time on his 23-seasons NFL career in February after Tampa Bay lost to the Cowboys in the Wild Card Playoffs, but has faced constant speculation that he could be talked out of retirement for a second time by quarterback-starving teams this season, as he led the league in completions last year and won the NFC South with the Bucs.

‘I’m certain I’m not playing again, so I’ve tried to make that clear, and I hate to continue to profess that, cause I’ve already told people that lots of times,’ the 46-year-old former quarterback told Sports Illustrated in June.

‘But I’m looking forward to my broadcasting job at Fox next year,’ he added.

‘I’m looking forward to the opportunity ahead with the Raiders and we’re in the process of that, along with the other different things that I’m a part of professional and in my personal life, just spending as much time with my kids as I can and seeing them growing up and support the different things that they have going on, and that’s a very important job, and I take them all pretty seriously.’

Brady would only be definitely ruled out from ever playing in the NFL ever again if his bid to purchase of a minority stake in the Raiders is approved.

The future Pro Football Hall of Famer, who’s been romantically linked with Russian supermodel Irina Shayk over the summer, was recently honored by Patriots fans at halftime of a  24-17 home loss in Foxoboro, Massachusetts.

Brady has also backed Rodgers, who he previously described as ‘dangerous’, to succeed with the Jets despite his first year already being chalked off due to injury.
