Superman’s best friend Jimmy Olsen and Daily Planet boss Perry White may be especially important in Superman: Legacy due to the movie’s focus on Clark Kent; and even though Superman: Legacy is skipping Superman’s early years, Clark Kent’s parents are also likely to appear in the movie. In the DCEU, Lawrence Fishburne played Perry White, Kevin Costner played Jonathan Kent, Diane Lane played Martha Kent, and a very vague adaptation of Jimmy Olsen briefly appeared in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, portrayed by Michael Cassidy.

The biggest Superman: Legacy casting that remains a mystery is the movie’s main villain. Previous Superman movies have featured General Zod, Lex Luthor, Doomsday, and Darkseid, which means that these villains are unlikely to be the main threat in Superman’s first DCU movie.
