Now a fashion icon, Meghan Markle is giving everyone style cues on how to channel her look — including Angelina Jolie. When Angelina attended the Service of Commemoration and Dedication of the Most Distinguished Order of St. Michael and St. George in London on Thursday, royal fans were quick to notice that she looked just like Meghan.
The actress sported a custom Ralph & Russo gray dress with matching gloves and a silver purse, but it was her fascinator that had everyone talking. Angelina’s stylish headpiece tied in beautifully with her off-white dress — a color-scheme that Meghan has been known for wearing latley. In her wedding to Prince Harry, Meghan also wore a cowl neck dress like Angelina and sported another similar dress in her first solo outing with Queen Elizabeth.
Angelina must have definitely been paying attention to the Duchess of Sus𝓈ℯ𝓍’s style because she pulled off the look quite nicely. However this was not Angelina’s first time at a royal event. In 2014, she was made an honorary Dame Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of St. Michael and St. George for extraordinary service to UK foreign policy by Queen Elizabeth.
The actress famously shook the Queen’s hand and remembered her as being a selfless and compassionate person. “You know she’s just this really lovely lady who really cares about people around the world, and she really cares about the future, and she wants your grandkids and her grandkids to be able to be running around, enjoying nature and other cultures, and the importance of other cultures,” she previously said in the ITV special, The Queen’s Green Planet.
But even when the mom-of-six received her honorary title, she donned an off-white outfit with gray pumps and still looked amazing. Like Meghan, Angelina definitely knows the right attire to wear when attending a royal event!
