Casemiro was the second Man Utd player to suffer an ankle injury while competing for Brazil, Ten Hag appeared to be sitting on fire.

The 31-year-old player was taken off with 11 minutes left in Thursday night’s 1-1 draw between Brazil and Venezuela.

Uruguay is the team that Brazil is supposed to play in their World Cup qualifier on Tuesday night, but Casemiro might not play at all.

After Brazil’s draw, their head coach Fernando Diniz said, “Casemiro asked to come off due to a blow to his ankle.”

Casemiro started all eight of United’s Premier League games so far this season. He was bought from Real Madrid for £70 million last year.

Meanwhile, United’s football director John Murtough revealed that the club is looking into why they have such a long list of injuries. He also said that Erik ten Hag’s team has had trouble staying fit at the start of the season.

“The mixed results so far have been helped by the fact that 16 first-team players have been hurt or unavailable for extended periods since the beginning of the season,” Murtaugh said.

“That’s two-thirds of the team, and Erik has only been able to pick his best eleven times this season.” Some of the sick players are starting to come back, which is good news. This should help, especially our new players Rasmus Hojlund and Mason Mount, who are still getting used to the team.

“We’re also trying to figure out why there have been so many injuries to see if there are any patterns that can help us stop them in the future.”

“Some of them, like Kobbie’s and Amad’s, were caused by impacts, which are hard to predict.” Others have been big, which could be because of all the games played in the past year, including the World Cup.
