LeBron James Remains Elite Among NBA Peers In This Category

Dominant on and off the court.

Los Angeles Lakers superstar small forward LeBron James has truly done it all in his basketball career and part of that includes earning more money than most in the sport have ever seen.

Even at his advanced age in the twilight of his career, few players rake in as many dollars as the King when it comes to today’s biggest contracts. His $47.6 million salary for the 2023-24 season is tied for the third-best pay in the league.

Everything LeBron does from now on is nothing short of historic. The all-time NBA leading scorer is about to begin his 21st season as the oldest player in the league and seems ready for everything but retiring. The 38-year-old has not only remained the third-highest-paid athlete in the league, but is still leading the purple and gold despite him referencing teammate Anthony Davis as the true face of the Lakers squad. For James, this year will have the same ambition as every year, either championship or bust!

James continues to defy logic as he enters an insane 21st season in the NBA for the 2023-24 year, one shy of Vince Carter’s all-time record of 22.

Still among the best scorers in the league in his late 30s, the four-time Finals MVP passed Kareem Abdul-Jabbar as the NBA’s all-time point king last season.

Bigger goals lie ahead for the King as he’s still chasing Michael Jordan to solidify his case as the greatest player to ever grace the hardwood.

A second championship in Los Angeles would only help that case and this year’s Laker squad may be his best chance since the bubble championship back in 2020.

LA will need their veteran superstar for such a goal as he takes another crack at winning a second championship for the city in his sixth season with the franchise.
