Aaron Rodgers reveals exactly where he is in his recovery: Will he play again this season?

He suffered an extremely serious injury at the very beginning of the campaign

It was expected that Aaron Rodgers would be one of the major talking points during the new NFL season after his move to the New York Jets, but that is not how things have panned out.

He made the historic move after spending all of his career to that point with the Green Bay Packers, but then suffered a serious Achilles injury four plays in to his first game of the new campaign.

For that reason, the Jets are having to do all that they can with Zach Wilson as the starting quarterback, but everyone would prefer to see Rodgers in that role.

The next game for the Jets is against the Los Angeles Chargers on Monday night and, in the meantime, information has shared by NBC Sports about a Rodgers interview with reporter Britney Eurton.

Aaron Rodgers is feeling good about his recovery

Rodgers was very open in explaining the 𝑏𝑎𝑏𝑦 steps that he has to take in order to recover from his torn Achilles, which will keep him out for a long time but maybe not the whole season.

“I’m feeling good,” Rodgers said about his injury recovery.

“I do rehab every single day.

“This is part of my rehab, walking down to the window over here to grab some food or drink, which my trainers will be happy with that.

“I’m trying to put my leg up as much as I can. I’ve got my dad shoes on, my rockers, so I can walk without any pain.

“But, it’s a process. Step by step. Day by day. There’s some great days, some rough days.”

When will Aaron Rodgers return?

As for when he’ll be back, Aaron Rodgers hopes to return this season.

“The goal for me is to come back this year,” he said.

“It’s got to be, otherwise I think it’d be a lot of rehab and pain. We’ll see what happens.

“I’ve got to hit some markers before that. I’ve got to be able to move around. I’ve got to be able to avoid putting myself in harm’s way.”

If he is going to be back in action before the end of this season, it is not likely to be before the playoffs.
