“Manchester United Hit by Injury Woes: £60m Star Mason Mount Sidelined For A Month With Calf Strain”

Manchester United has yet another injury blow as Mason Mount hurt his calf and may not be able to play for up to a month.

Mount got hurt while training before United had to go to Everton on Sunday. The problem is still being looked at by the club’s medical staff, but early signs show that he might be out for three to four weeks.

Mount hasn’t been able to make an impact since joining United from Chelsea for £60 million in the summer. He’s already missing six games this season because of injuries.

United is still having injury problems at a very important time of the season, with Casemiro, Christian Eriksen, and now the 24-year-old central midfielder out.

Luke Shaw is getting ready to play at Goodison Park for the first time in three months after healing from a torn thigh muscle. He hasn’t been seen since the first two games of the season when he played for England.

Goalkeeper Andre Onana is also available, even though he had to fly home early from Cameroon’s international service because he hurt his groin in the World Cup qualifier against Mauritius.

But Rasmus Hojlund has to take a late fitness test because of the hamstring pain he got against Luton two weeks ago.

Hojlund pulled out of Denmark’s games against Slovenia and Northern Ireland, and United manager Erik ten Hag said that his £72 million signing has just under two weeks to get ready for the Everton game.

Ten Hag said, “Rasmus is a close finish.” “He’s working out; he finished outside.” We’re going in the right direction, but we need to wait until tomorrow to make a final choice. Luke Shaw is in the group and will be able to play on Sunday. I checked on Andre and he’s fine. He stepped into training today.

Ten Hag said that Shaw’s return will be very helpful because United had to use a lot of different left-backs this season while he was out.

“You can say many things,” he added. “It’s clear that you can talk about his physicality, his technical s𝓀𝒾𝓁𝓁, and his leadership.” We didn’t have a left-back for a long time during the season. It’s good that he’s back, so we’re glad. I’m sure he will help us be more stable.

The United boss did say, though, that Jonny Evans is not ready to play again after straining his hamstring in the 4-3 Champions League loss to FC Copenhagen in Denmark earlier this month as planned.

“He is on his way back, but he isn’t ready for Everton yet. It won’t be long,” Ten Hag said.
