Al-Nassr now want £50m Manchester United player, after having bid rejected for Tottenham star

Al-Nassr are reportedly eyeing up a bid for Manchester United defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka having had an offer rejected this January by Tottenham for Emerson Royal.

The 26-year-old fullback has emerged as a target for the Saudi Arabian giants as Al-Nassr look to strengthen their side this January with a big-name signing in the right-back position.

Having reportedly had an offer rejected by Tottenham for Emerson, Al-Nassr have turned their attention elsewhere, and Wan-Bissaka could now be on the Saudi Pro League side’s radar.

According to the Telegraph, Al-Nassr are eyeing a move for the United defender, who only has 18 months remaining on his current contract at Old Trafford.

Signed from Crystal Palace in 2019 for a reported £50m, Wan-Bissaka’s career with the Red Devils has been an unusual one, with the fullback never quite hitting his true potential with the Manchester giants.

Moreover, with United potentially open to selling Wan-Bissaka, Al-Nassr could offer Erik Ten Hag’s a massive financial boost if a permanent deal can be arranged with the former England youth international.

Whilst Wan-Bissaka has made 17 appearances in all competitions for United this season, it’s clear that the Red Devils are in need of an upgrade in the right-back position.

And selling Wan-Bissaka to Al-Nassr could just that, especially if the Saudi club have as much as £20m to spend on a new fullback this January, a fee that United might jump at.

Indeed, Wan-Bissaka’s United career has been as unusual as many other promising players who made the move to Old Trafford for big money in the last ten years.

And a move to Saudi could please all parties, though United might stand to benefit the most if they can work quickly enough to sign a top right-back replacement this month, a prospect many fans would be on board with.
