For any NBA star, a loss can linger for days, serving as a constant reminder of their shortcomings. No player fully recovers from a loss alone; they need support, whether through activities or the presence of loved ones. For Stephen Curry, healing comes from compartmentalizing his professional life and cherishing time with his family.

Sonya Curry, the mother of the NBA’s all-time three-point scorer, recently appeared alongside Shaquille O’Neal’s mother, Lucille, on an episode of “Sway’s Universe”. They delved into the topic of helping their sons cope with losses. Sonya has found that being present and enjoying the game as a fan is the best way to support her son.

“Stephen and Seth both have told me that when they get home, they are just themselves,”Sonya shared. “He loves that because work is work. I think about that now when we would tell him, ‘That’s your daddy’s work.’ Now, you can tell he is thinking about it, but he is actively trying to separate the two, and Seth does the same thing.”

The mother of three revealed that once her sons are home, they spend precious time with their families. Stephen CurryGolden State Warriors star and the father of four, cherishes every moment with his 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥ren.

Seth Curry also enjoys quality time with his three kids, though Sonya admits, “he might watch more basketball.” However, both brothers leave basketball on the court. Once they step into their homes, they assume their family responsibilities and avoid NBA talk.

Sonya Curry didn’t mention the extensive efforts Stephen Curry goes to in making time for his family, but it is never simple. Barely a year ago, the four-time champion was asked about balancing his pursuit of greatness on the NBA floor with being an ideal family man. “Is there really such a thing as balance?” he questioned the hosts of The Shift.
