This made things even harder for the actress emotionally. But she stayed committed to the project because she didn’t want to let down her friend Chastain. “I couldn’t back out on a friend,” she said to Vanity Fair, referring to the Ava star.
Hathaway’s dedication to the movie took a toll on her. The heavy themes of the film proved emotionally taxing for her. She reportedly struggled to eat on set and needed a clear separation from her character once filming wrapped. “Even though I loved the people I was working with, I needed to get out of there when it was done and never look back,” the 41-year-old shared.
Recently, the Bafta and Emmy award-winning actress publicly praised Chastain, calling her “one of the greatest living actresses” and a “darling friend,” in an interview on BBC Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour. The two Hollywood actresses have previously collaborated in Christopher Nolan‘s sci-fi flick, Interstellar.

Another film is The Lifeboat. It is a suspenseful drama, in which she plays Grace Winter, a woman on trial for murder after surviving a shipwreck.
The actress will star with Ewan McGregor in a film directed by David Robert Mitchell, with the plot still under wraps. In The Idea of You (centered around a boyband), she’ll star alongside Nicholas Galitzine.
