It is arguably rare to find a woman supporting another woman in this world! And Kylie Kelce is definitely one of those rare, as she is known for empowering women, especially in the sports world.
This “women supporting women” incident was seen last month at Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour concert at London’s Wembley Stadium. After calling herself a “fangirl,” Jason Kelce’s wife, Kylie now celebrated another woman from the sports world. Here’s the full story:
Kylie Kelce’s another encounter with a badass woman!
Everyone knows that Jason Kelce’s wife, Kylie Kelce, also has a sports background. Hence, it feels great for her when she meets another person from the sports world. This time, the former hockey player met journalist Taylor Rooks, and she felt nothing but “honored.” During a recent NBA event, Kylie met Rooks and clicked for a photo together. Sharing the same on her Instagram story, the 32-year-old wrote: “YET ANOTHER BEAUTIFUL BADASS WOMAN IN SPORTS THAT I HAD THE HONOR OF MEETING.” This was a perfect tribute for the woman who gets athletes to open up in unexpected ways with her interview. This praise came after Kylie showed her admiration for another sportscaster, Charissa Thompson.
At Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour at Wembley on June 21, Kylie met Erin Andrews and Charissa Thompson in the VIP tent. Reflecting on the meet up the next day, former athlete revealed her being “fan girled” over the Fox Sports personalities. She wrote, “Pardon the delay because we were very busy last week, but I have to circle back to meeting the absolute queens @charissajthompson and @erinandrews. I had to fangirl over them both for not only being badass women in sports, but also having meaningful and empowering conversations on @calmdownpodcast.”
In return, Andrews and Thompson too appreciated former Eagles safety’s wife’s support, emphasizing the importance of women supporting each other. Thompson wrote in an IG story, “This means more than you know. Women supporting women makes me emotional for a lot of reasons. You are a real one. Thank you.”
Kylie has always been a woman supporter. This was evident in a Dove campaign where Kylie promoted body confidence.
Helping to keep girls in sports!
This January, Dove brand teamed up with Kylie Kelce to support girls in sports through the #KeepHerConfident initiative. It addressed the issue that many girls drop out of sports due to low body confidence, especially by age 14. Kylie, a coach and mother of three, advocated for building confidence in young female athletes so they can freely enjoy their sports without worrying about appearance.
Dove’s partnership with the former hockey player included the Body Confident Sport program, offering free digital tools for coaches to foster body confidence in girls aged 11 to 17. The program, backed by scientific research, aims to reach one million young athletes annually, promoting positive body image and encouraging girls to stay active in sports they love.
Furthermore, with this event, Kylie marked her name as one of the biggest women supporters in empowering them.
