The list of nominations for the 76th Primetime Emmy Awards was full of surprises, including the buzzworthy snubs of four Oscar-winning actresses.
While stars like, Jennifer Aniston and Selena Gomez were recognized for their work, Nicole Kidman, Emma Stone, and Kate Winslet were surprising left out among the nominees.
Stone, who starred in Paramount+’s The Curse alongside Nathan Fielder, did not earn a nod for her hilarious performance, nor did Kidman for her work in Amazon Prime’s Expats.
In response to a tweet announcing that the La La Land actress, who just took home her second Oscar in March, had been snubbed, one fan wrote: ‘She was AMAZING. Nobody can do it like her.’
Winslet, who portrays Elena Vernham, a dictator ruling precariously over a fictional Central European country in The Regime, was also notably left out from the Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series category.

Four-time Emmy winner Kelsey Grammer did not land a nod for bringing Dr. Frasier Crane back either.
Michael Douglas was also passed over for consideration, despite receiving rave review for his starring role in AppleTV+’s Franklin.
John Mulaney, who hosts the talk show John Mulaney Presents: Everybody’s In LA, did not manage to make it into the fight for Outstanding Talk Series category.
Sean Evans’ talk show, Hot Ones, was also absent from the competitive category.
This year, The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, The Daily Show, Late Night with Seth Meyers and Jimmy Kimmel Live! will compete for the prestigious honor.

For Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited Anthology Series or Movie the nominations were: Jodie Foster for True Detective, Brie Larson in Lessons in Chemistry, Juno Temple in Fargo, Sofia Vergara for Griselda and Naomi Watts for Feud.

Outstanding Lead Actor In A Limited Or Anthology Series Or Movie went to Matt Bomer for Fellow Travelers, Richard Gadd for Baby Reindeer, Jon Hamm for Fargo, Tom Hollander for Feud, and Andrew Scott for Ripley.
Outstanding Lead Actress In A Drama Series went to Jennifer Aniston for The Morning Show, Carrie Coon for The Gilded Age, Maya Erskine for Mr and Mrs Smith, Ana Sawai for Shogun, Imelda Stanton The Crown, and Reese Witherspoon for The Morning Show.
Outstanding Lead Actress In A Comedy Series went to Quinta Brunson for Abbott Elementary, Ayo Edebiri for The Bear, Selena Gomez for Only Murders In The Building, Maya Rudolph for Loot, Jean Smart for hacks and Kristen Wiig for Palm Royale.
The nominees for Outstanding Reality Competition Program went to Amazing Race, RuPaul Drag Race, Top Chef, The Traitors and The Voice.

The nominations for the 76th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards were announced in Hollywood
Emmy Nominations presenter Ralph was surprised by Cris Abrego at the conclusion of the announcement ceremony with her third nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for Abbott Elementary.
The Emmy Awards will air live on ABC on Sunday, September 15, from the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles.
A host has not yet been named.
This year’s ceremony will take be held less than a year after the 75th edition of the show.

Cris Abrego gave the first introduction as he shared that the shows nominated aired from June 2023 to May 2024.
He then introduced Ralph and Hale to the stage.
As previously announced, Emmy Award winners Jesse Collins and Dionne Harmon along with Emmy-nominated Jeannae Rouzan-Clay of Jesse Collins Entertainment are set to return as executive producers of the 76th Emmy Awards. This marks their second consecutive year as producers of television’s biggest night.
