After the events of the Stranger Things season 4 ending, it’s looking like Hawkins will essentially become a battleground. Previous batches of behind-the-scenes set photos have revealed tentacles across other areas of Hawkins as well, suggesting Eleven and her allies will struggle to contain the spread of the Upside Down. Since Vecna remains alive in the show, it’s likely that another confrontation between the two is looming.
In addition to doing battle with the monsters of the Upside Down, it’s also possible that Eleven will have a role to play in what comes next for Max (Sadie Sink) after the character was left in a coma at the end of season 4. Season 5 will also have to put a bow on Eleven and Mike’s (Finn Wolfhard) relationship, either ending with the two of them together or deciding they’re better off as friends. With production still underway, it’s likely that more Stranger Things season 5 set photos will be released in the coming weeks.
