After years of speculation and fan anticipation, Legendary Pictures has officially announced Pacific Rim 3: The Final Stand, the climactic third installment in the kaiju-vs-jaeger saga that began over a decade ago. The film, directed by Guillermo del Toro, will bring the battle between humanity and the monstrous kaiju to an explosive conclusion when it hits theaters in summer 2026.

Del Toro, who helmed the original Pacific Rim in 2013 but stepped away from the 2018 sequel Pacific Rim: Uprising, returns to the director’s chair for what is being described as the most ambitious and visually spectacular entry in the franchise yet.
