Kourtney Kardashian defends son Mason sleeping in her bed until he was 7: ‘Natural and instinctual to me’

Kourtney Kardashian revealed that she co-sleeps with her 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥ren because it feels “natural and instinctual” to her.

“I think every person’s different and every 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥 is different. My oldest son [Mason Disick] slept with me till he was 7,” the “Kardashians” star said during Monday’s episode of “The Skinny Confidential” podcast.

“I mean also part of it [was] like at a certain time I would put him to bed in his room and then he would come to my room,” she continued. “And then at 7 he just stopped and he was like, ‘I’m done with you, I sleep in my own room.’”

The mother of four went on to reveal what age her daughter, Penelope Disick, stopped co-sleeping with her.

“And then my daughter slept with me pretty much till she was 11,” Kardashian said of her only daughter who turned 12 in July.

The candid conversation on sleeping arrangements came up when the Lemme founder, 45, explained that her sleep schedule is currently at its “craziest” due to her infant son’s routine.

“I’m on the craziest hours right now because of our whole summer of touring, but I think one thing too is that we sleep with our 𝑏𝑎𝑏𝑦,” she said.

“As a mother, I like to do what feels natural and instinctual to me. And that’s for me what it is,” Kardashian added. “Of course, I also read all the benefits and hear all the benefits. And I mean, it’s something that mammals have been doing since time existed.”

The TV personality even revealed that her mom, Kris Jenner, has been “resistant” to the sleeping arrangements, but the Poosh founder tunes her out.

“It’s not her 𝑏𝑎𝑏𝑦 and she’s done having kids,” Kardashian quipped.

Despite the pushback from Jenner, 68, on co-sleeping with her kids, Kardashian said that Barker, 48, has been completely on board.

“I will say that both parents being aligned on that is really important,” she explained. “My husband loves it too.”

Also during the podcast, the eldest Kardashian sister shared that she typically aims to sleep from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. She also enjoys hot water with lemon or matcha in bed when she wakes up.
