Billionaire Mark Zuckerberg said his 7-year-old daughter, August Chan Zuckerberg, ‘can’t look like singer Taylor Swift’, which made her silent.
According to the Daily Mail, the 40-year-old billionaire told the above story when expressing a broader view on the importance of uniqueness and authenticity in the technology field.
“We took her to a Taylor Swift concert. One day August said she wanted to be Taylor Swift when she grew up. I told her that was impossible, not possible for her. She seemed to think about it and said, ‘Okay, when I grow up I want people to want me to be like August Chan Zuckerberg.’ And I agree with her,” the Meta boss said on the Acquired podcast .
When asked what advice he would give to tech entrepreneurs, Mark Zuckerberg said: “Do something that interests you. If you’re trying to figure out a strategy, learn as quickly as you can. But I also want to say there are many ways to build a business. Our way may work for me and my team, but other companies have other ways that are clearly effective.”
Mark Zuckerberg is also known to be a fan of singer Taylor Swift. Last year, the tech billionaire and his wife Priscilla took their 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥ren to the 34-year-old singer’s Eras Tour in Santa Clara. The Facebook boss posted a series of photos from the trip with the caption: “Life as a dad with a daughter.” The tech entrepreneur shared another photo of himself checking his email on the way to the event.
The billionaire 𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐧 in 1984 and his Chinese partner got married in 2012 and welcomed three daughters, Maxima (𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐧 in 2015), August and Aurelia (𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐧 in 2023).
